What was your reaction to Karkwa winning the Polaris Prize?

We were totally happy for them. I felt fine, since my mom said she’d loved me wether we won or lost. Julien Sagot, Karkwa’s percussionist was sitting beside us at our table. When he got up, we slapped his butt! It was out of excitement though, like football players do, you know!? (...)
